Wed 12 July 2017, 18:30 – 21:00 BST
In February 2017 an artist and photgrapher, both ex-British Army, teamed up with an award winning documentary film maker to work alongside wildlife rangers in the Zambian bush. This summer they are creating a unique insight into the little known world of anti-poaching to raise over £40k for the men and women protecting African wildlife.
On 12 July at 6.30pm, Heropreneurs is hosting an evening where artist Freddy Paske and photographer Dave Mackay will talk about their experience in Zambia and the project that they launched to address a very different theatre of war. Named the Bigger Picture, the project culminates in a London exhibition of art, photgraphy and film to create an immersive experience into the life of the anti-poacher.
Heropreneurs is a charity that inspires, networks and mentors aspiring entrepreneurs from the armed forces community.
Heropreneurs helps serving (regular and reserves), spouses and ex service men and women develop their ideas and give them the mentoring, networking and confidence to try to reduce the risks inherent in starting and growing a business. Many of these mentors are business people with significant experience of small businesses who have not served themselves but who are willing to give a couple of hours per month to help those who have served.
The event price covers our event costs (including a drink or two) with all profits going to the charity. The venue has generously given us the room free of charge.
Dress code is whatever you fancy and I hope you’ll join us for an inspiring, humorous and enlivening evening!
