As the Principal Charity of the Royal Navy, RNRMC has been awarded £368,500 over three years by the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust to deliver a new project —Strengthening Families – West of Scotland—focused on supporting Royal Navy Submariner families facing challenges of separation.

The funding forms part of the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust’s Apart Not Alone portfolio. This funding will enable RNRMC to launch a regionally focused programme in the West of Scotland, aimed at supporting Submariner families, bringing organisations together to improve mental health and wellbeing, fostering community connection, and enhancing social support.
A dedicated RNRMC team will be based locally and work alongside community partners to provide tailored services and strengthen long-term family resilience. Due to the nature of operations, submariner families often face extended periods of separation and limited communication with loved ones.
