The Royal Air Forces Association is the charity that supports the RAF family. From an injured airperson fighting to get back on their feet, to a child missing a parent working away from home, or a WWII veteran in need of companionship, the Association is there.
We are looking for a Welfare Research and Insight Officer (WRIO) to work collaboratively with internal and external partners and to be responsible for interrogating, interpreting, drawing out themes and trends from both primary and secondary data, delivering these to the Welfare and Membership teams in an appropriate way focusing resources to effectively and efficiently adapt or implement services
The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level with a relevant degree or equivalent relevant experience. They will have experience of research with a good working knowledge of a range of research methods, including qualitative and quantitative methods, knowledge of open source and online datasets and information sources relevant to public sector delivery. The WRIO will have experience and competence in designing and implementing all stages of the research process, using appropriate methods, through the design, budgeting, collection, analysis and dissemination phases.
