You will provide welfare support primarily to the wide military community and have the ability to be mobile in order to meet operational needs and may occasionally be called upon to support other DMWS service-users.
Key responsibilities will include, establishing a process for gaining referrals from each GP practice, making all relevant connections with key stakeholders, running training and awareness programmes for GP staff and accurate record keeping providing data and reports within agreed timescales.
All DMWS field staff are required to complete a Diploma in Welfare Studies and Mental Health First Aid Course as part of their training. The induction package also includes mentoring by an experienced Welfare Officer or Manager.
