Band 5, £22, 234 to £28,885 per annum (dependant on experience)
Combat Stress is the UK’s leading mental health charity for veterans, providing free specialist clinical treatment and welfare support to ex-servicemen and women across the UK with mental health conditions.
We treat conditions including Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), depression and anxiety. We provide a range of free services including short-stay clinical treatment, a specialist PTSD Intensive Treatment Programme, Occupational Therapy, Community support and a free 24-hour Helpline.
Reporting to the National Coordinator, you are to provide support to Peer Support Volunteers in their geographic region. You will coordinate the peer support service within their region and provide regular supervision to the volunteers (within their region), acting within a supportive, line managerial and development role.
You have served in Her Majesty’s Armed Forces and have either recovered from a mental health problem as a result of their service or is able to demonstrate extensive experience or working within mental health. In addition to this, you have a high level of knowledge regarding mental health conditions commonly experienced by Veterans. You are also able to demonstrate evidence of continuing professional development.

Combat Stress operate a salary scale which works similarly to the NHS Agenda for Change system. We enhance the scale by 1.5% and have designed a bespoke competency framework and appraisal system to support training and development opportunities.
