As the national commemoration of the end of the First World War in 2018 fast approaches, this is an incredibly exciting time to join the highly successful Corporate Partnerships team at The Royal British Legion. With one of the strongest and most trusted brands in the charity sector, we’re looking to grow our corporate partnership portfolio significantly and ensure more funding and support for our vital work.The Senior New Business Manager’s role is to create and lead our bespoke approaches to major UK companies and secure long term mutually beneficial partnerships. We’re looking for a candidate with a creative approach, entrepreneurial instincts and a demonstrable track record of securing high value corporate partnerships.
You will need strong experience in developing and negotiating commercially focused partnerships, including cause related marketing and sponsorship, in the not-for-profit or private sectors. You should be able to build strong relationships, present confidently to senior audiences and demonstrate an understanding of the business world. Leading a team of two Officers, you will have good experience of line management, an organised approach and the ability to prioritise busy workloads.
Though this is initially a fixed term contract, there may be the potential for permanent employment for a successful candidate (subject to review).
