“I am pleased to announce that I have appointed Julie McCarthy as Director of Volunteer Operations.
Julie is a former chief executive of the Army Families Federation and the wife of a serving member of the British Army. She currently holds the position of Head of Transformation at Blind Veterans UK. She brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience and I look forward to welcoming her to SSAFA later this year.
Sue Pillar will be leaving SSAFA at the end of June and I would like to take this opportunity to thank her for the dedication and energy that she has brought to the role. She will be hugely missed and I am sure you would all like to join me in wishing her the very best for her new life.”
