Glen Art Veterans are creating their annual Show Garden for the Gardening Scotland Show. This year’s garden is called ONE HUNDRED YEAR OF REMEMBRANCE and Glen Art are proud to be partnering with the CWGC and Wilfred Owen Association, to create a garden to commemorate the centenary of the CWGC, and of the time Owen spent at Craiglockhart War Hospital for officers with Shell Shock in 1917. Veterans with PTSD working with the CWGC gardeners in honouring those whose lives were lost or whose minds were shattered a hundred years ago.

The Governor of Edinburgh Castle will host a reception for Glen Art and The Wilfred Owen Association on the evening of June 2nd.
The evening will launch a series of events to commemorate Wilfred Owen in Edinburgh, including re creating the train journey Owen took to Edinburgh, arriving at Waverley Station on June 26th 1917, veterans from Glen Art have been invited to be at the heart of all of the events by the Wilfred Owen Association, and with the support of a grant from Awards for All.
Wilfred Owen’s nephew Peter Owen will travel up form London to re create Owen’s journey and will take breakfast at what was the North British Hotel with veterans from Glen Art on June 26th.
