Prince Harry presented government awards to organisations that offer the Armed Forces community employment and training opportunities.
The Prince was joined by Defence Secretary Sir Michael Fallon at a recent Ministry of Defence’s Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) awards ceremony. They gave 33 Gold Awards to employers that pledge, demonstrate or advocate support for the Armed Forces community. The recipients included Airbus, Combat Pest Control, Balfour Beatty, General Dynamics UK, Network Rail, the Metropolitan Police Service and Transport for London.
Sir Michael said: “This year’s Gold Award winners should be extremely proud of the work they are doing to live up to the Armed Forces Covenant pledge and to promote the pledge to others. I’m delighted to recognise employers who make it crystal clear that regardless of size, location, or sector, employing people with military skills is good for business.”
