Scottish high-street retailer M&Co is proud to announce an exclusive new collaboration with the Military Wives Choirs charity and a first ever retail partner relationship for the charity.
The Military Wives Choirs and M&Co have worked together to create a home and accessories collection. The range includes kitchen accessories, home fragrance and cushions, along with cosy socks and scarves in a stylish purple and lilac colour palette.
Launching in late October, the collection will be sold in 135 M&Co stores across the UK as well as online, with a percentage of the profits being donated to the Military Wives Choirs. The collaboration with M&Co will also see the Military Wives Choirs album ‘Home for Christmas’ being sold in stores across the country – featuring new and traditional versions of carols reflecting what Christmas means to women in the military community, including the single, Home for Christmas.
With over 70 choirs in British military bases across the UK and overseas, the Military Wives Choirs is a charity that brings women in the military community together through singing. Being part of a Military Wives Choir makes a positive difference to women’s lives by improving well-being, building friendships and developing skills.
Every new posting for a military family can be as daunting as it is exciting. But for women in the military community – the Military Wives Choirs create a real feeling of home and support. M&Co Buying Director Sue Swannie said: “We are so excited to be working with the Military Wives Choirs, their ethos and dedication to community felt very similar to the connections we feel with our local store communities. We have a great number of stores in the same areas as the choirs so the collaboration was a great fit. For the first collection we have created products that we feel will help and inspire people to feel at home – even if that home is in a brand new location.”
Military Wives Choirs member and trustee Nikki Black said: “We are delighted to have teamed up with M&Co for this beautiful range of products and we are very excited to be working with them. The nature of Forces life means that families are often moving house to new postings so it is lovely to have a homeware range which incorporates the colours and styles of the Military Wives Choirs to provide those little touches which make a house feel more homely, and we hope the public love it too. Every purchase means that you are helping us to bring women in the military community together through singing so thank you!”
By supporting the Military Wives Choirs, people are helping women in the military community to sing, share and support one another and feel stronger together.
