Stoll, the leading provider of support and housing for the Veterans’ community, held its inaugural Stoll Lecture on one of the greatest leaders of the 20th Century: Churchill. Sir Winston’s grandson, The Rt Hon Sir Nicholas Soames MP, gave the lecture earlier this month at the Churchill War Rooms, from where Sir Winston led the Allied Forces to victory.
Sir Nicholas Soames said: “I was honoured to give the Stoll lecture on behalf of Churchill in such inspirational headquarters. There is no charity or organisation that Churchill would have wanted to support more than Stoll. It is a truly remarkable charity that does irreplaceable and vital work and deserves generous support.”
Veteran Hamish, who attended the event, thoroughly enjoyed his evening: “For me, Stoll has really helped me to feel part of a caring community. There are people here who care, who understand and are willing to help and provide unconditional support. It’s fantastic to see so much support for the Veterans community from this event.”
