The first to Roots Red Sea in Egypt is the largest expedition to date and is aimed at new divers who will undertake their PADI Open Water courses and also a number of divers who are part of the Deptherapy continuing education programme.
In August the charity undertakes its most challenging expedition, thus far, by taking 14 WIS veterans to dive Chuuk Lagoon, widely regarded as the best wreck diving site in the world. The selection process has been rigorous and based on diving ability and commitment to personal development through the continuing education programme. The programme and its build up over the last year is funded by the 2016 Chancellor of the Exchequer’s Libor Fund.”
Deptherapy Vice Chairman Daimon Haywood said “The Chuuk Lagoon Expedition is the pinnacle of our work to create Ambition, provide Adventure which both result in a huge sense of Achievement in our programme members.”
