A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a part-time Data Governance Manager in the Governance department at SSAFA, the UK’s oldest national tri-service military charity.
About the role
We are seeking an experienced Data Manager to provide assurance to Senior Management and Trustees that robust processes and procedures are in place, and operating effectively and efficiently, for the use and storage of Personal Data which comply with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) 2018.
You will develop, implement and monitor data compliance with SSAFA’s data protection policy and strategy, as well as manage all Subject Access Requests. The role will work very closely with Data Protection Officer to mitigate any potential risks to the security of personal data or to endanger the compliance of the organisation with legal requirements.
Requirements
To carry out this role successfully you will have excellent knowledge of data protection, including the General Data Protection Regulations. You will with the ability to think analytically and creatively to find pragmatic solutions.
You will have a good understanding of information management, business systems and processes, as well as ability to communicate complex issues clearly and simply. Passion about data quality and data governance is essential to succeed in the role.
