The Prospect Research Assistant is a key role within Philanthropy and Partnerships team.
The Philanthropy and Partnerships team is responsible for all “relationship-based” fundraising and covers major gift fundraising (trusts, major donors and corporates) in the UK.
You will conduct research into prospective high net worth individuals, corporate and trusts to develop pipelines for these areas, as well as support these teams to deliver new business and steward existing donors. They will also be responsible for keeping the Raiser’s Edge database up to date, ensuring all research captured is added in a timely and accurate manner.
The successful applicant will:
- Have knowledge and understanding of the importance of major donor, trust and corporate fundraising within the wider fundraising/charity context
- Use a variety of sources to prepare effective and insightful research profiles on both warm and cold high net worth individuals, corporates and trusts in order to develop the High Value Relationship prospect pool
- Manage and report on donor cultivation plans, ensuring that they are up to date and that gift history, motivations and biographical information are all correct
- Work with the Trusts and Special Projects Manager to identify and research potential funders for capital and special projects
- Identify potential new CRM partners in order to grow the charity’s current portfolio
