Stand Easy works with Wounded, Injured and Sick Veterans to help their recovery through drama activities. We are based in Dundee but take Veterans from throughout Scotland. We run weekly drama/social workshops but we also run one 4 week drama project in May each year.
This year the project starts on May 7th and it will end with a short tour of Tayside Community Venues. The play will be devised by the Veterans together with a staff of professionals and also volunteer drama students. It will focus on family life in the military and after transition.
The work is great fun, but also challenging. The project is not about the production itself. Indeed there is no pressure to take part in it. However it is about all the benefits of working together on a creative project and how this benefits the mental health of all participants. We are now looking for participants.
