Another successful NFA fishing trip is complete and has provided, for many, a welcome morale boost and new friendships. It’s more than just a fishing trip, as one beneficiary said:
“I have come away feeling that whilst learning new skills and overcoming personal obstacles, I have also in a small way helped others & they in turn have done like wise. Friendships have been made & bonds forged to the extent that we have now organised a trip of our own, all with a military theme, as this is and always will be our safe area.”
This month’s holiday was the final Carp fishing weekend of the financial year and really finished it with a bang as 9 beneficiaries from the Royal Navy and Army sharing stories from their experiences in the Falklands, Northern Ireland, Bosnia and the Middle East.
The NFA are extremely lucky to have the support of the team at Woodlay Holidays in Cornwall, who provide the opportunities for many of our beneficiaries to find respite and a little.
