Fundraising Father & Son Duo

For most families, the Easter weekend is filled with chocolate eggs and a large quantities of food, but father and son David and Alex Bradley are chose to spend their Easter Weekend in a canoe! In the process they raised an astonishing £2010 for both the NFA and Princes of Wales’s Royal Regiment Benevolent Fund.

David Bradley, a former PWRR Major, was badly wounded in Basra in 2004. He was given a 5% chance of survival after sustaining a chest injury and losing part of his right hand, shoulder and eye. David was found by The Not Forgotten Association whilst still in Birmingham’s Selly Oak Hospital and invited to our annual Christmas Party at St. James’s Palace following his recovery.

Since his medical discharge in 2008, David has been a keen supporter of military charities. David’s challenge this year – along with his son, Alex – was the 4 Day Devizes to Westminster International Marathon Canoe Race, which was intended to run from Good Friday to Easter Monday.
