A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a full time Accounts Assistant in the Finance Department at SSAFA, the UK’s oldest national tri-service military charity. Please note this contract is fixed term for one year.
About the role
We are seeking an Accounts Assistant for a one-year fixed term contract. The role will involve processing purchase ledger invoices, paying suppliers, dealing with supplier queries, reconciling bank accounts, and assisting with the monthly management accounts process.
Requirements
To carry out this role successfully you will have experience of working in a small finance team and will be flexible and willing to take on a number of tasks to assist the finance team in supporting its wide base of suppliers and volunteers. You will need to demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail in a complex organisation.
Experience in book keeping and excellent numeracy skills are essential, as is ability to identify errors and make corrections to financial records. You will have good Microsoft Office skills, as well as experience using an accounts or financial management package.
