Celebrating the 40th anniversary since Danny met Sandy and a feeling of Summer Lovin’ swept the nation, local homeless charity Alabaré, are inviting you to their outdoor cinema extravaganza of the iconic musical, Grease!
Film goers will have the chance to see this all-time favourite against the historic backdrop of Old Sarum airfield. So come along to dance and sing the night away on Saturday June 2nd and help raise valuable funds for Alabaré and Our Wilton’s work with homeless and vulnerable veterans.
Rebecca Mullen, our fundraising and development manager at Alabaré said;
“We are incredibly excited to be hosting our first outdoor-cinema event and what better film to show than Grease? It’s the ultimate feel good summer sing-along and we are hoping that this event proves to be incredibly popular.”
There will be a range of food and refreshments available on the evening with Tobias Jacks onsite with their signature BBQ and bar – serving a full selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Complete Waffle will be offering delicious savoury and sweet waffles and hot chocolate, plus our popcorn stall will be on hand.
Alabaré’s Homes for Veterans provide supported accommodation to British Armed Forces Veterans who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. For this event we are joining forces with Our Wilton, with whom we are working partnership for the creation of the country’s first Veteran Village based at Wilton. The development will offer a pathway of accommodation, support where needed, an enterprise hub and community café.
