Will you be flying a Red Ensign for Merchant Navy Day on 3 September?

If you would like to show your appreciation for our Merchant Navy seafarers – past, present and future – please arrange to fly a Red Ensign ashore on Merchant Navy Day, Monday 3 September.

Now in its fourth year, Seafarers UK’s campaign to raise awareness of our island nation’s dependence on seafarers and shipping will see the British Merchant Navy’s official flag flying atop civic and historic buildings across the UK and on flagpoles in prominent public  locations.

If the building where you work has a flagpole please could you suggest flying a Red Ensign on Merchant Navy Day? All participating organisations will be included on a ‘Roll of Honour’ at www.merchantnavyday.uk and promoted via PR and social media.

Please visit that website to download our free guide to taking part. And to complete the online registration form – please do this even if you have participated in previous years, or if a Red Ensign is flown every day at your workplace!

Thanks in advance for your support.
