Finchale Group (FG) is an independent charity providing specialist services for people with multiple and complex barriers to employment. Founded in 1943 as a rehabilitation and resettlement centre for those returning from active service, FG has retained strong links with the Armed Forces.
With a brand new facility currently under construction, FG is entering a period of growth and change, and is seeking an Operations Director to work with the CEO to underpin the future.
This new role will assist the CEO and Board in providing a hands on approach to day to day operations, whilst undertaking business development and continuous improvement to deliver future growth.
Reporting to the CEO, the Operations Director will be responsible for the management, development, delivery, and quality of client services. This will encompass quality compliance and commercial performance. You will also play a key role in sourcing new programmes, leading on bid writing processes and commercial negotiations.
Key to success will be the development and maintenance of partnerships delivering new business with partner agencies, recognising the national and local agenda, and the identification of new services.
You will carry responsibility for staff development and appraisal.
Potential candidates should have Operations and Project Management experience, coupled with a commercial mind set and bid writing experience. Exposure to the Welfare to Work and Training sector would be useful, including securing project funding through competition and tendering.
Displaying drive and ambition, you should have well developed interpersonal and communication skills, combined with organisational and analytical capability. You will need to be both resilient and flexible.
This is a key long term appointment, representing an opportunity for the successful candidate to help shape the future of the group.
Applicants should forward a cv to patricksmith@brosterbuchanan.com
