We are celebrating following the news that we’ve received the Gold Award under the Ministry of Defence’s Employer Recognition Scheme.
This is a fantastic achievement and a real accolade for our team here at Forward Assist and all the veterans we work with.
Now in its fifth year, the MOD’s Employer Recognition Scheme Gold Awards represent the highest badge of honour available to those that employ and support those who serve, veterans, and their families.
It’s great to see our efforts rewarded in this way and shows the impressive strides we have made in such a short space of time since we started. That is entirely down to our team of volunteers and staff and the way the north east community support what we are trying to achieve.
Our veterans are making a real difference to their local areas and are contributing to society in a positive way. They should also be rightly proud of this award and the part they play.
Its right that we should celebrate but we all know there is still so much we want to achieve and there are some exciting times ahead with new initiatives planned.
