At the OA Officers’ Careers Forum you will discover some of the opportunities available to transitioning and former officers, and be able to connect with industry experts. We can help you better understand how to successfully apply for civilian roles, and capitalise on the skills and experiences you gained in the Armed Forces. The talks and break-out sessions will give you an insight into possible different career paths and next steps. You can choose two break-out sessions, which cover specific industries such as construction, cyber security and project management.
Throughout the day you will be able to build your professional network and make valuable connections. You can speak with other Service leavers, former officers now working in industry, employers and recruiters. At the end of the event there will be a drinks reception, where you can network with even more employers and recruiters.
Nigel Hare, Operations Director at the OA, said: “Having attended this event while I was leaving the Royal Navy, I know how useful the OA Officers’ Careers Forum is to a successful transition. By the end of the day you will have a stronger network and a greater understanding of the opportunities available and next steps towards your new career.”
The event is free to attend and takes place at Deloitte’s London headquarters on Monday 10th December, starting at 1300. The reception and networking opportunity will start at 1730.
