An update from the Victory Services Club

The Victory Services Club has remained open during the Coronavirus crisis for key workers only. There are currently 50 individuals staying at the Club, mainly military personnel who are augmenting the Ministry of Defence, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, and the National Health Service, amongst others. The Club has a team of living-in staff who are looking after these fifty key workers. All staff and individuals staying at the Club are providing a bespoke room servicey, an enhanced cleaning regime and are fully adhering to the health advice of the government on social distancing.

In an appeal to members to support the VSC the Chairman, Rear Admiral Mike Kimmons, has posted a letter on the website to record his considerable gratitude to all those who have donated and provided letters of encouragement and thanks for the work delivered by the staff. The appeal has generated over £177,000 from members and foundations, which will used for the staff and the Club during this precedented period of time.

If you would like to donate towards the future of the Club and its staff, please visit the VSC’s Just Giving page www.justgiving.com/victorysa

If you know any key workers looking for accommodation in London the Club is open to them and please ask them to get in touch.

Rear Admiral Kimmons extends his best wishes to the members, colleagues and families of COBSEO.
