Felix Fund Restarts its Mindfulness Program

Like so many organisations Felix Fund had to suddenly change their service delivery when lockdown hit. Mainly the residential preventative stress training based on mindfulness – Dashboard program was cancelled.

A virtual version was quickly put together and a series of short tutorial videos shared across our You Tube channel and other social media, which went a small way to helping people in the short-term.

We are pleased to announce from September the residential courses will be re-starting at Ashorne Hill, Leamington Spa.

Melanie Moughton, CEO of Felix Fund:

‘Over the years our Dashboard programme has become a key feature for Felix Fund, helping large numbers of serving personnel and veterans from across the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) and Search communities recognise signs of stress and to learn how to deal with them.’

‘It was worrying when we had to cancel the program back in March, but we can now move forward with a new and improved course. Felix Fund was lucky enough to receive a grant from the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Covid-19 Impact Fund to help re-start the program.’

If you are or have conducted or assisted with EOD and Search duties and feel the Dashboard course might be helpful to you please visit our website for more information https://www.felixfund.org.uk/about/our-work/ or contact Melanie Moughton on 07713 752901 or email enquiries@felixfund.org.uk
