The Ripple Pond provide peer support to those who are supporting British service personnel and veterans who are living with a physical injury or mental illness
The peer support service puts members in touch face-to-face, or virtually, with others in similar situations to give and receive genuine support and understanding.
The Ripple Pond has strong links with many other organisations and will carefully signpost members for other specific support as and when needed.
Membership is free, and the joining process is very simple; call the team on 0333 900 1028 or email at help@theripplepond.org
Peer support is proven to decrease the feeling of isolation, giving participants higher self-esteem and confidence leading to a more positive state of mental health.
The Ripple Pond has launched a new and modern brand to reflect how the charity is evolving. The charity has a new logo, font, and colour scheme. The new logo represents what the charity is about, featuring the ‘ripple’ being cradled and supported – highlighting the peer support their members offer to each other.
With consultation with their members and other outside audiences before, during and after the rebrand. It was found that the military community were aware of The Ripple Pond and some of the work that they do, but it was unclear that their support was for those supporting service personnel and veterans who are living with a physical injury or mental illness.
The brand refresh is launched alongside a new website – www.theripplepond.org.
The charity worked with design agency The Typeface Group, a digital-first agency based in Basingstoke, Hampshire. They very kindly volunteered a percentage of their time.
