The 2021 King’s Centre for Military Health Research Veterans Mental Health Conference has gone online. Once again, with support from the Forces in Mind Trust, we are bringing together leading academics, researchers, medical professionals and charities to discuss the key issues in military mental health. We will be holding 4 FREE online seminars in March 2021, with each seminar covering a different theme.

All seminars will be held using Microsoft Teams Live and we will send further information about the seminar(s) you join in due course. You will be able to ask questions during the seminars.
The four sessions are all in March 2021 on Thursdays between 1000 and 1200.
On 4 March we have a session on Policy and Care which will include presentations from Johnny Mercer MP, David Richmond from the OVA, Kate Davies from NHS England and Charles Winstanley from Contact.
On 11 March the session is on Science and Function which will include presentations from Dr Kirstie Anderson on sleep and mental health, Professor Nicola Fear and Daniel Dyball on the ADVANCE study, Prof Ron Behrens on Lariam (Mefloquine) and mental health and Dr Howard Burdett on veterans and employment.
On 18 March, the session is on Veterans, Families & COVID-19 with presentations from Dr Marie Louise Sharp on the KCMHR Veterans Check study, Dr Dominic Murphy on how COVID-19 and Combat Stress and Helen Helliwell and Prof Jan Walker speaking about military families.
The final session on 25 March will be on Substance misuse and gambling and will include presentations from Dr Laura Goodwin, Dr Dan Leightley, Professor Simon Dymond, Professor Jonathan Ling, Simon Bradley, Anne Fox and Professor Charlie Lloyd on a range of topics related to this subject.
