Combat Stress receives £50,000 donation from leading logistics and commercial property firm Mountpark

Veterans’ mental health charity Combat Stress has received a £50,000 donation from Mountpark, the UK’s leading logistics and commercial property firm in London.

The annual Mountpark Charity Football Match pitches the company team against the Industrial Agents’ Society. Over 200 spectators converged on Loftus Road, home to Queen’s Park Rangers, to watch the match which ended in a 3-3 draw. A record breaking £141,000 was raised for Variety, The Children’s Charity and Combat Stress.

The donation will help us to continue providing our specialist support to veterans with complex mental health problems.

Garry Burns, Head of Corporate Partnerships at Combat Stress, said:

“On behalf of Combat Stress and the veterans we treat, I would like to thank Mountpark for their incredibly generous support. As the UK’s leading charity for veterans’ mental health, we provide specialist treatment and support to former servicemen and women with complex mental health issues arising from military service. This donation will ensure veterans can receive the help they need from us to rebuild their lives.”

Philip O’Callaghan, Managing Director of Mountpark UK & Ireland, thanked the event’s sponsors and everyone who had worked hard to make the evening a success.

“We are delighted to see everyone here again and thank you very much for helping us raise a record £141,000 for these two excellent charities,” he said. “We chose to support Combat Stress this year because mental health is so important for all of our staff.”
