ABF The Soldiers’ Charity is pleased to award £65,000 to Poppyscotland to fund the charity’s wide range of welfare services to Armed Forces veterans and their families across Scotland.
The charity shares Poppyscotland’s mission to deliver help and relief to veterans in times of hardship and need. Our donation will fund its Armed Services Advice Project (ASAP), which covers a wide range of assistance such as finance and debt advice, housing, employment and family welfare. Since the project started in 2010, it has supported over 19,000 veterans, and last year over 2,000 veterans received assistance.

“We are extremely grateful to ABF The Soldiers’ Charity for their support in delivering this vital service over the last decade, which has made a huge difference to thousands of members of the Armed Forces community.
“No one should be disadvantaged after serving their country, but too many former servicemen and women and their families across Scotland are struggling in silence. Many are not sure where to turn to or what help they are entitled to.
“Thanks to ABF The Soldiers’ Charity’s generous support, ASAP’s specialist advisors can find them the right assistance and provide a listening ear. Its success is a wonderful example of what can be achieved when we work together.”
