A successful partnership which delivered support to almost 450 Veterans last year is set to continue.
Forces Support, founded in 2010, is known for the practical support it provides to bereaved families and its collaborations with partner organisations who deliver support to former forces personnel.
This week, the charity delivered a second round of funding to The Veterans Charity who provide immediate needs support to hundreds of Veterans each year.
The Veterans Charity has become known as the rapid reaction force, delivering essential support including food shopping, utilities support, clothing and footwear and communications devices. Around 75% of the charity’s caseload is referred by other organisations and military charities.
Danny Greeno, CEO of The Veterans Charity said
“2022 was a challenging year in which we delivered rapid support to 651 Veterans who found themselves battling hardship and the distress it causes but without the funding from Forces Support, we would not have been able to be there for those in need. We are delighted that this wonderful partnership is continuing and we are very grateful to Forces Support for their support and their faith in our ability to deliver.”
Carol Reynolds, CEO of Forces Support, said,
“Forces Support are delighted to be able to continue our partnership and funding to the Veterans Charity. These funds will enable The Veterans Charity to carry on the excellent work serving our veterans who find themselves in need of support during these difficult economic times – long may this partnership continue.”
