Contract: Permanent, Full-time, 35 hours per week
Salary: £24,573.00 per annum

Do you want to make a real difference to the lives of the military community? Are you a confident, self-starter with welfare experience? We are looking for someone with strong people skills, who can work independently and as part of a small team, to join DMWS at the University of Birmingham Hospitals NHS Trust (QE) and Royal Centre for Defence Medicine (RCDM) Birmingham.
You will be working with both serving and veteran personnel on a medical pathway primarily in the secondary healthcare setting in Birmingham. Your role will be to help individuals and families from the entire military community with a particular focus on hard-to-reach veterans their families and carers.
This post is full time with an on-call requirement. You will operate as part of a small team across dealing with serving military personnel, veterans and their families in Birmingham. For more information on the position, please read our Welfare Officer Job Description RCDM WelfareOfficer JD.
