Cobseo, the Confederation of Service Charities is the 40th organisation to sign up to the Fighting With Pride – Pride in Veterans Standard (PiVS) and demonstrate their commitment to providing inclusive and welcoming support to all LGBT+ Veterans serving personnel and their families.
Whilst Cobseo does not directly provide services for Veterans, as the Confederation of Service Charities, signing up to the Pride in Veterans Standard demonstrates the organisation’s commitment to supporting LGBT+ Veterans. It is also an important step towards supporting the Cobseo membership to ensuring that LGBT+ Veterans feel confident accessing services and support, assured of a warm welcome and will be treated with dignity, respect and understanding. Cobseo have been developing their programme of work looking at equality, diversity, and inclusion and how best to support their Members with resources and events, and signing the Pride in Veterans Standard is an important part of this workstream.
