Location: Remote
Salary: Up to £36,841.00
Closing Date: 18/05/2023
At Help for Heroes, we help the Armed Forces community live well after service.
Life can be tough when a military career comes to an end, especially if it has been cut short by illness or injury. Overnight, people lose not only their job, but also a support network that is like family. There are many ways we help veterans, their relatives, serving personnel, and people who worked alongside the UK military. We help people with their physical and mental health needs, and a range of welfare issues. Our support gives people the skills, confidence and knowledge to make a success of life after service.
And who are we you’re wondering? We are experts and beginners. Generalists and specialists. Ordinary people with an extraordinary passion towards making a positive change to the lives of our veterans (and having fun while doing it).
As One Team we share a philosophy – I.C.A.R.E. It’s the way we walk and talk, the way we interact with others and how we approach everything we do. We are:
Innovative – Collaborative – Authentic – Resourceful – Energetic.
We have an incredible opportunity for two Insight Managers to join our team.
Please see below for more information on what just might be your future role.
About You
Are you looking for an opportunity to use your research skills to make a real difference to the lives of our Armed Forces Community? Are you ready to be an Insight Partner, developing stakeholder relationships, using insight to scope and inform the strategy? If yes, then we want to hear from you.
We are looking for 2 passionate and strategic researchers, to join our new Data, Insight and Research team. You will be experienced in qualitative and quantitative research, from agency, client or evaluation roles, ready to move into a new and exciting role, placing insight at the heart of decision making. You will have experience of scoping, designing and implementing quantitative and qualitative research projects, with the skills to work autonomously, on multiple projects at any given time, often with changing priorities.
If this sounds like you, then we want to hear from you!
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to support Help for Heroes with embedding Knowledge and Insight within our strategy. You will be working closely with internal stakeholders to scope and lead on insight and evaluation projects, to inform decision making.
You may be looking to use your insight skills to partner with our Commercial & Fundraising and Marcomms teams to understand external audiences – the general public and supporters to inform our brand and fundraising strategies. Or you might be passionate about understanding the needs and demonstrating the impact we have on the Armed Forces Community. Whichever you prefer, we have the role to suit you.
Both of these roles offer a real opportunity to make a difference to the way Help for Heroes impacts on the lives of Armed Forces Community – through the services we deliver, increasing reach and impact, or through raising our profile and supporting our commercial team with raising vital funds to deliver our services.
About the Team
This role sits within our newly formed Data, Insight and Research team. This is an exciting time for the team, as we establish and develop this function within the charity, directly leading into our LiveWell Strategy. We are a passionate group, sharing our skills to provide our internal stakeholders with the insight expertise to inform their decision making, whether this comes from our own data, external research or research that we will commission and deliver. We work closely together, to complement the skills and knowledge that working across the charity brings. We celebrate our successes and value the different perspectives, learning from each other and developing new ideas.
