Centre for Military Women’s Research Conference: Inaugural Conference Sexual Violence in the Military – An International Perspective – 13/14 December 2023

The Centre for Military Women’s Research (CMWR) at Anglia Ruskin University is holding its inaugural conference with the theme of “Sexual Violence in the Military – An International Perspective”.

This conference will explore many difficult and emotive problems relating to sexual harassment and sexual violence in the military.  The need for this research is reflected in the OVA’s development of the Women Veterans Strategy and will be key to helping military and veterans’ charities meet the needs of vulnerable veterans who have experienced or witnessed such behaviours.

This conference gives opportunity for information sharing, networking and debate and will help provider organisations to consider how they are working to deliver services for victims and how services can be improved.

The first day includes a wide range of national and international experts and panel discussions covering both the in-service and veteran experience, with a networking event and drinks reception.

The second day comprises a choice of four workshops on different aspects of the theme, concluding with a review and a plenary.

For more information about the conference, please visit the CMWR website. To book a ticket, please go to the Anglia Ruskin online store. Tickets cost £185.
