The Poppy Factory has confirmed Amanda Shepard as its new Chief Executive, following the completion of an extensive recruitment process by the Board of Trustees.
Amanda, who joined The Poppy Factory in 2019 and has led the charity as Interim Chief Executive since January 2023, moves into the permanent role with effect from July 1.
In her previous role as Director of Fundraising and Communications, Amanda transformed the Poppy Factory’s fundraising strategy and led the successful transformation of the team, improving performance in income generation to fund employment services for veterans with health conditions and their families.
Amanda’s professional background encompasses income generation and fundraising, organisation strategy and development. She brings a wealth of experience gained from over 20 years in the not-for-profit sector, working as consultant and in senior roles at The Princes Trust, BBC Children in Need and the Institute of Fundraising.
