Contract: Permanent, Full-time, 35 hours per week
Salary: £25,556.00 per annum

The Defence Medical Welfare Service is recruiting for an exciting and dynamic new position in Leeds, providing world class welfare support to employees of both the NHS and 3rd Sector as part of the Leeds Health Care One Workforce Programme.
The DMWS Welfare Officer will take a lead role in developing and delivering an effective pilot service in the Leeds area and will work closely with a wide range of stakeholders to provide proof of concept data and outcomes. The ability to deliver effective and professional, person-centred support, alongside strong data and stakeholder management requirements, is key to the success of the pilot, and the incumbent will be responsible for developing and maintaining an accurate and comprehensive database of information for the purposes of analysing the effectiveness of service delivery.
As this is a new role in the area, DMWS are looking for a Welfare Officer with the skills and expertise to deliver welfare support to a wide range of multi sector employees, coupled with the ability and drive to make this a successful pilot from the very start. Ideally from a background of welfare support and multi-agency partnerships, the role holder will have a comprehensive understanding of welfare support provision, an awareness of local, regional, and national resources, and the ability manage a complex case load effectively and efficiently.
