For some ex-service people, this is their reality. Suddenly their whole way of life is changed, even walking to the shops becomes a huge task.
Fortunately, Blind Veterans are here to help rebuild their lives. But they can’t do it alone.
This is where you come in.
As Events & Entertainment Facilitator you’ll be responsible for the delivery of a stimulating programme for veterans that focuses on their individual interests, needs and passions, while also enhancing relationships with the local community.
You’ll deliver activities across a 7 day week and work closely with other departments to make everything work.
You’ll know that facilitating events means being super organised while still being prepared to adapt on the go when the one thing you didn’t plan for happens. You’ll also need to be comfortable working with a wide variety of personalities and changing your style on the fly to keep everyone engaged.
We’re open to candidates looking for full time or part time hours, however these will include evenings and weekends.
