The Army Benevolent Fund is delighted to award a £10,000 grant towards the core operating costs of the charity Give Us Time, which provides respite breaks for military families.
Our charity is committed to promoting the health and welfare of Army families. Give Us Time is a small Armed Forces charity that supports military families to reconnect following deployment, or physical, mental health, or other welfare issues. The charity takes ‘in kind’ donations of accommodation in the UK and Europe from hotels and resorts, and from individual donors. Since 2013, it has assisted over 1,000 service personnel, veterans, and bereaved families, most of whom are from the Army.
Alex Youngs, Operations Director, Give Us Time, said:
“We would like to thank the Army Benevolent Fund for its support, which will enable us to continue our commitment to helping our extraordinary Armed Forces families spend valuable moments together to reaffirm their family bonds and strengthen their relationships.”
Brigadier (Ret’d) Peter Monteith, Chief Operating Officer, Army Benevolent Fund, added:
“Supporting organisations devoted to the welfare of Army families goes to the heart of our mission. The pressures of Army service life affect families in various ways, and many need a well-earned break from time to time. We are pleased to award another grant to Give Us Time’s innovative work.”
