On the 25th anniversary of the lifting of the illegal ban on the service of LGBT personnel in the UK Armed Forces, a second volume of anthology accounts will be published to help preserve the history of the ban and celebrate the service of those affected. Over the next two weeks, there will be three opportunities to join Zoom! calls to hear more about it from Craig. If you feel you might like to see your story in print, or if you would simply like to hear more, please come along.
Many people considering being involved may have questions about anonymity, how and whether you feel able to write your own story or what support you might need. You may think your writing skills are not strong enough – we can help and support you! You may feel that your story is unremarkable, but the reality is that your humanity and how you have felt about your experiences can be hugely impactful upon the reader. Whatever your experiences, please come along to find out more. These sessions are an opportunity to answer all your questions and find out if writing or being supported to tell your story is right for you. These sessions are for all those affected by the ban, irrespective of the year you joined or left the Armed Forces.
