This year’s West Country 100 Dinner hosted in the Commando Forces Officers’ Mess, Stonehouse Barracks in Plymouth – enhanced by a spectacular and unexpected view of the aurora borealis – raised more than £35,000 for RMA – The Royal Marines Charity.
The event was attended by 120 supporters, and MC’d by former BBC radio presenter David Fitzgerald.

“The evening was an incredible success, bringing supporters together, making new friends and attracting some new members who, in promising to spreading the word through their extensive corporate networks, have committed to support the Royal Marines and the valuable work of RMA – The Royal Marines Charity.
“I’d like to extend my sincerest thanks to the Deputy Commander, Commando Forces, Colonel Simon Dean for his hospitality, and to the Royal Marines Band Service for providing added colour to the evening. Our special thanks must also go to our sponsors for the night, Dennis Hall at Yellowtail Financial Planning and Nicci Gratwicke, at Pencarrie, who ensured that all monies raised at the dinner will go straight to the front line.”
The West Country 100 is a select group of influential business leaders and individuals based in the southwest, committed to supporting the Royal Marines Family who find themselves in need through injury, illness or hardship, through the auspices of RMA – The Royal Marines Charity.
