Greenwich Hospital has appointed Dr Maria Theofanous as Research and Education Grants Manager, working within its Charity Team.
Maria joins from the Wellcome Trust, a global medical grant-making foundation, and brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the role.
With a new grants strategy in place and the expansion of its proactive and preventative funding, Maria will work with Greenwich Hospital’s charitable partners and organisations to lead projects that will deliver positive outcomes to help Naval families thrive.
The Research and Education Grants Manager role reports to Jonathan Ball OBE, Director of Grants.

Last year, Greenwich Hospital awarded £5.9 million in grants and other charitable support for education, sheltered housing, welfare and the promotion of mental and physical health across the Royal Naval Community.
