HighGround is delighted to announce that they have been awarded two vital grants from the Army Central Fund to deliver a Rural Week for eight serving Army personnel, and to cover 25% of the cost of providing our Horticultural Therapy (HT) program at DMRC Stanford Hall.
These funds are instrumental in enabling us to continue delivering life-changing support to service leavers and veterans.
Rural Weeks are immersive residential programs that introduce service leavers, veterans and reservists to the wealth of career opportunities within the land-based sector. This funding ensures we can provide expert-led sessions that open doors to new possibilities in areas such as farming, forestry, conservation, and more. By supporting beneficiaries , Rural Weeks are a crucial stepping stone in their transition to civilian life.
Horticultural Therapy at DMRC Stanford Hall provides serving personnel with a safe, nurturing environment to aid their recovery. Using nature-based activities and gardening, HT helps to restore confidence, improve mental health, and build resilience. This funding is vital in sustaining and enhancing the delivery of this transformative therapy, allowing us to continue supporting those on their recovery journey.
We are profoundly grateful to the Army Central Fund for their steadfast belief in our mission. Their generous support strengthens our ability to empower the Armed Forces community and provide tailored pathways for recovery and reintegration into civilian life.
Thank you, Army Central Fund, for enabling us to make a meaningful difference. Together, we can continue to serve those who serve.
