On 5 March, X-Forces Enterprise hosted their Big Business supporting Small Business Steering Group that meets three times a year and now in its 8th year, bringing together industry leaders and policymakers to drive tangible change in policy and provide the best support possible for Armed Forces community lead businesses.
The event was particularly significant, with the Minister for Veterans and People in attendance, reinforcing the government’s commitment to supporting veteran-led entrepreneurship.
This steering group serves as an essential platform for collaboration between corporate giants and veteran entrepreneurs, ensuring that enterprise, employment, and economic mobility remain at the heart of the Armed Forces community’s transition into business and beyond.
A huge thank you to our dedicated steering board members, whose commitment and expertise continue to make a difference: Barclays, FSB, BBB, LSEG, Pets At Home, NatWest, GKN, Rolls Royce, Cisco, Right Management, Curzon Consulting, Reed in Partnership, Landmarc, Centrica, Xero, PPL, and Army Cadets. Their engagement is not just about corporate responsibility – it’s about real-world impact, fostering innovation, and strengthening the veteran business ecosystem.
As we move forward, we will continue to push for better procurement pathways, enhanced industry engagement with Reservists, and stronger Cadet Force support, ensuring a lasting and meaningful impact for the Armed Forces community.
Together, we are shaping a more inclusive, opportunity-rich future for veteran-led businesses.
