About the role: The Housing Manager role is remote, with travelling required throughout the Central band of Scotland visiting our three estates in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Hamilton. You should ideally be located within 15 miles of the following areas, Edinburgh or Glasgow. You are required to have your own vehicle and hold a UK drivers’ licence.
In this role you will ensure the effective delivery, compliance and innovation of HHT services in Scotland with the main duties involving overseeing housing management, tenancy sustainment, property inspections and sign-ups.

Role Purpose:
Ensure the effective delivery, compliance, and innovation of HHT services in Scotland. Oversee housing management, tenancy sustainment, property inspections, and sign-ups, while acting as the Data Champion for the team to enhance decision-making through a real-time KPI dashboard. Serve as the key link between HHT and the Scotland Committee, ensuring regional concerns are addressed.
1. Service Delivery & Compliance – Ensure all services comply with legislation and policies, enforcing compliance across Scotland.
2. Housing Management & Tenancy Support – Manage sign-ups, transfers, successions, Annual Tenancy Reviews, and dispute resolution, ensuring tenancy sustainment.
3. Property & Estate Management – Conduct annual property inspections and work with Property Services to maintain high standards.
4. Data Innovation & Reporting
5. Develop a real-time dashboard tracking tenancies, arrears, inspections, sign-ups, and KPI trends.
6. Ensure accurate data management in Civica Cx and produce Board & Scotland Committee reports.
7. Stakeholder Engagement & Governance – Act as the key liaison for the Scotland Committee and the Veterans Scotland Housing Cluster and strengthen partnerships with support organisations.
8. Additional Responsibilities – To advise and support the Senior Housing Manager in the identification of new and emerging legislation.
Person Specification
Qualifications/Education – Desirable
• ECDL
• CIH Level 5 Certificate in Housing Practice (SCQF Level 5)
• SVQ in Estate Management at SCQF Level 6
Knowledge, Skills & Experience – Essential
• 2 Years relevant experience in Property Management in Scotland
• Excellent communication skills across all mediums (written/social media/verbal etc)
• Clear attention to detail whilst maintaining sight of the bigger picture
• Must be experienced in working with budgetary processes such as tendering etc
• Knowledge and experience of working with legal frameworks and legislation
Knowledge, Skills & Experience – Desirable
• Detailed knowledge and experience of working with the Veterans community
• 2 years relevant experience in Housing Management in Scotland
• Experience in working with external agents, and the ability contract manage
