The annual Big Salute campaign awards grants up to the value of £10k for projects that make a huge difference across the whole forces community.
Charities seeking support this year will be able to apply for grants online now bfbs.com/bigsalute.
Recent Big Salute grants have funded a wide variety of projects, including a bandstand for a veteran care village, funded welfare support for armed forces community members across Nottinghamshire. We’ve awarded a grant to convert a room into a self-contained apartment for RAF veterans, supported veterans and their assistance dogs as well as funding gifts and vouchers for bereaved children.
The Big Salute is supported by BFBS Trustees and by the forces community through fundraising events such as a pantomime in the Falklands, a Flag Day in Gibraltar, sponsored runs in the UK and overseas and quizzes held in aid of the Big Salute throughout the forces communities overseas.
