BFBS – TV Scheduler

***THIS JOB VACANCY HAS NOW CLOSED***

Full time

12 Month Fixed Term

Chalfont Grove/Hybrid

We’re BFBS keeping forces communities around the world connected with home through our broadcasting and entertainment: we’ve an exciting TV Scheduling opportunity as part of our TV & Cinema operations.

You may have experience of broadcast scheduling and workflows, maybe not, but you have a feel for the type of organisational and process-orientated skills needed to join our team. You are a great communicator, flexible in approach and have a sharp attention to detail, able to commit and meet deadlines, even when the goalposts move due to the changing nature of live TV.

BFBS TV is the original Super-Aggregator! A VOD Planner is part of the scheduling team curating content and managing data for over 30 live and catch-up TV channels. Key tasks here include editorially collating and processing a variety of source metadata and images, publishing electronic programme guides and OTT rails, cross-referencing with BFBS rights agreements and updating additional licence information.

You’ll understand the need to maintain editorial compliance of a channel’s output – live and on-demand – including the protection of under-eighteens.

Data from our platforms as well as the wider UK marketplace will drive your decision making and influence the various promotional activities which showcase the range of programming and services BFBS TV offers.

You may also like to join working groups on special projects, contribute to our evolving content and wider strategies, and manage relationships with external suppliers.

Both roles are full-time and ordinarily based at our Chalfont Grove, Buckinghamshire HQ. After some initial familiarisation and training, an element of remote working will be possible in due course within the scope of our hybrid framework.

Further details of the role can be located by visiting our website at https://about.bfbs.com/tv-scheduler
