The St John and Red Cross Defence Medical Welfare Service (DMWS) provides high-quality medical welfare service to those who serve the nation and the community when they are in the patient care pathway. We offer practical and emotional support to ensure that no family goes through the worry of illness or injury alone.
We’re there whenever an injured soldier or police officer is fighting to get back on their feet, or a veteran needs a shoulder to lean on. When a family needs support to stay strong we are on hand to provide a listening ear and practical help.
This engaging film, features actual case studies of our valuable work with the Armed Forces, NHS, Police and Veterans; highlighting how DMWS care for those who serve.
Caring for those who serve is one of a series of short films created by the charity to raise awareness of our work supporting over one million people since 1943. DMWS chose not to use professional actors, with the film featuring volunteers who have directly received welfare support.
