China Fleet Country Club has been awarded the Ministry of Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) Silver Award, acknowledging its contribution to supporting the Armed Forces Covenant.
The coveted award recognises the Club’s commitment to supporting both current and former members of the Armed Forces – veterans, family members, reservists and cadet instructors – and for being a valued employer of choice for those leaving service.
The Club’s HR and management team have ensured that service personnel and the Armed Forces community are supported through career transition to new adventures outside the Armed Forces. The Club is proud to have many ex-serving personnel within its workforce, as well as employing several spouses / family members of those still in service.
Dean Bennett, Managing Director of China Fleet Country Club Ltd, said the Club was delighted to receive the prestigious award.
He added:
“This award is gratefully received and is testament to our ongoing support to the Armed Forces Community. We have been proud Bronze Award recipients and Armed Forces Covenant signatories since 2014. So, to now be recognised with the Silver Award means so much to all of us at the Club. Our ex-serving and Armed Forces Community employees make a fantastic contribution to our business every day and I would encourage any business to follow our example.
“We thank Wessex Reserve Forces & Cadets Association for their assistance and the China Fleet Trust for recognising our efforts and nominating the Club.”
