Coronavirus – a message from the Chief Executive on the FPS Business Continuity Plan

An update from the Chief Executive of the Forces Pension Society has been shared for their members.
The Government’s latest direction on dealing with Coronavirus has required us to implement our business continuity plan in full; these procedures are now in place. We will maintain services to our Members and minimise disruption to the Society’s routine outputs. My first and over-riding priority remains my duty of care to the Society’s staff – this requires some changes to our business as usual model.

Advice, Campaigning and Education/Outreach

The Society will continue providing membership and pensions advice and guidance as above. We will continue to campaign as best we can in the digital space on issues such as McCloud and Pension Tax. Our Education and Roadshow programme is being adjusted rapidly so that it can be delivered via video conferencing, and our website and social media presence will continue as normal.
Finally, I have offered the following guidance to the staff: remember and continue to live by our values of being trusted, influential, passionate and collaborative. Remain calm, focus on maintaining an excellent service to our members and support each other in every way you can.
Stay well everyone.
