Felix Fund – the bomb disposal charity is pleased to announce its new publishing arm, which is launching on 1 May 2023.
Following the success of the play Later, After and the memoir Troll: My life in bomb disposal, author and long time Felix Fund supporter Jane Harvey-Berrick came up with the idea of setting up Felix Fund Publishing.
Not only will the charity benefit from future sales of these two launch titles, but it will enable us to publish works on behalf of EOD and Search veterans.
Our first publication will be an anthology from personnel from across all areas of EOD & Search, both serving and veteran. We want to collect your short stories, memories and poems, based on your experiences doing the job.
You don’t need to be a writer; you just need to have something that you want to say. Each piece that is selected will be professionally edited and published at the end of the year. There’s no minimum length, but the maximum is 3,000 words. If you feel you have something much longer that you’d like to contribute, please do let us know.
A compilation of our favourite submissions will be put together in both paperback and eBook format and sold in aid of Felix Fund – all in time for Christmas 2023.

“This is an exciting time for Felix Fund and creating this publishing arm will not only bring in funds from another income stream but will assist those who want to get their stories told. Talking about experiences good and bad can have a major impact on the mental health of individuals. We are looking forward to seeing where this takes us.”
